WHO's TO BLAME? (1/8)

The Jets's are 8-8.  They don't make the playoffs.  They lost three straight to end the season.

I've heard...Peyton Manning to the Jets and Rex Ryan has lost the team and will likely be fired during next year's season.....really?

Mark Sanchez has thrown a number of interceptions...and has taken alot of blame.  People think that he isn't the quarterback of the future.  My opinion....Mark Sanchez is not the problem.  Sanchez has been the quarterback for two AFC championship games in his first two seasons.  Sanchez was overwhelmed with no help.  The wide receivers, Holmes and Burress, provided no help.  Holmes seemed to quit and not fight for the ball.  Burress wasn't effective between the 20s.  The running game was average.  Shottenheimer was calling for pass play after pass play.  Of course, he failed.  Sanchez didn't rise to the difficult situation...and very few quarterbacks would have.

Last year, Rex Ryan was the coach for whom all players want to play.  This year, Rex Ryan is the coach that lost his team.  What happened?  It seems like the characters that the Jets hoped would provide the boost (Holmes, Cromartie, and Burress) instead caused a break in the lockerroom.  Can Rex bring the team together by getting rid of some bad apples...or putting a shine back on the dirty ones....I hope so.

Next year is an important year for the Jets franchise.....and as a fan, that's not a bad thing.  (There has been many years that felt unimportant.)
